2006 - 2007 Season Has Begun
Wow… what a summer it has been. With both teen and pre-teen camps and summer activities behind us, we have begun our new season of GTG!YM. Our catalyst this year for Wednesday Night ENCOUNTER is a DVD based curriculum called "THE GOSPEL JOURNEY." "THE GOSPEL JOURNEY" is designed to teach students how to share and defend their faith in Jesus Christ. It is also a great opportunity for students to invite their friends, so encourage your teenager to bring their friends to Wednesday Night ENCOUNTER @ 7:00pm. Our catalyst this year for Sunday Morning ACCELERATION is a program called "BIBLE U." "BIBLE U" takes a look at the validity of the Bible and essential Christian doctrines. ACCELERATION happens every Sunday in the loft at 10am.
Family Connection Meetings
With the new season happening, we want to get students plugged into ministry as soon as possible. Although this can happen without a family connection meeting, we feel it has the greatest impact. During a family connection meeting, parents and their teens meet with one of our ministry team members and discuss talents and gifts to decide what would be most effective ministry for the students to take part in. Special Events Coming Soon
See You At The Pole is September 27th this year. That Wednesday morning, Christian students are strongly encouraged to join their peers and adult leaders at the flag pole in front of their school for prayer. See www.goodtogoym.org for more details.
See You AFTER The Pole is also September 27th. We will be dismissing Wednesday Night ENCOUNTER that evening and loading up the van to head to the Centene Center in Farmington where hundreds of students will gather for this amazing event. We will be leaving the church that evening no later than 6:00pm. See www.goodtogoym.org for more details.
November 17 - 18 will be Windermere 2006. This year Bebo Norman will be doing the music and Allen Pointer will be the speaker. The cost of Windermere is $45 if registration is turned in by the October 25th. See www.goodtogoym.org for more details.
Also, coming up in February 2007 will be Dare 2 Share. This year D2S will be located at the Savvis Center in St. Louis. The cost of D2S is $40 plus a pro-rated cost for hotel stay on Friday night. Estimated final cost will be about $55-60. See www.goodtogoym.org for more details.
